Catholic Bishops Gear Up to Beat Trump in 2020
#11
In August they're going to have the World Meeting of Families in Dublin which many expect will see attempts to redefine what families are. Then in Oct, it's  the Synod 2018 on Young People, the Faith, and Vocational Discernment, which already look's like it will attempt to call for greater acceptance of homosexual activity. Next up, in Oct 2019 will be the Synod of Bishops for the Amazon Region, which according to at least one Bishop (a Bergoglio man) will include discussion of women's ordination.

It's bad for Popes to commit adultery. It's far worse for a Pope to tell adulterers that if they just discern hard enough, they can continue to have sex and receive Communion.

He has to know the media are going to misquote him or spin his words to fit their liberal agenda. Yet he continues to speak off the cuff, he continues to give interviews to these reporters, and when the inevitable spin comes out ("Pope doesn't believe in hell") the response from the Vatican doesn't address the issue. He marries people on planes, making a big public deal out of it, without any statement about whether the couple has prepared for marriage the way everyone else is required to, sending the message that the rules don't matter. Yes, he's the Pope, so he can dispense whatever impediments he can, but then he should either say so or keep the whole thing private.

Previous Popes may have been bad Catholics, but people knew they were Catholic. When it comes to Francis, "Is the Pope Catholic?" isn't just a response to the obvious anymore. We shouldn't have to wonder that, but the Pope's statements make it hard to conclude that he isn't trying to change doctrine. Fortunately we have the Holy Ghost to stop him from doing so.

More interested in climate change than the abortion vote in Ireland, to start.
Making gay folks believe that everything is fine with being sexually active with other men/women.  No, he didn't actually use the words, he did worse - he was ambiguous.  This Pope loves ambiguous.  Except for politically sexy issues like climate change.

I agree that he should outline these central issues in black and white, but we cannot blame him for being concerned about our environment, even if he is not fully informed on that subject. He might sincerely believe that it is an urgent issue.

The Pope is a very bad man.

We're not talking about personal sins and failings as with "the Borgia Popes"; we're talking about his monkeying around with the presentation of the unchanging Faith itself. What he is doing is unprecedented (though foreshadowed by all the post-conciliar Popes).
