A Highly Amusing Exchange of Tweets
#1
You can't make this stuff up!

Matthew Schmitz, A Catholic who worships at the Altar of God and not at the altar of Francis, tweeted, 'Results of a little experiment in which I quoted the words of one of the Pope’s defenders. Many were suddenly able to see how crazy they were.'

The tweet that began the exchange,
'Someone's got to say it, Pope Francis breaks Catholic traditions whenever he wants because he is “free from disordered attachments.” Our Church has indeed entered a new phase: with the advent of this first Jesuit pope, it is openly ruled by an individual rather than by the authority of Scripture alone or even its own dictates of tradition plus Scripture.'

To which, Massimo 'Beans' Faggioli, one of Francis's ardent defenders, replied, 'From a fellow Catholic who evidently never read or understood the constitution of Vatican II “Dei Verbum".'

There was only one small problem! Schmitz's original tweet was a direct quote from a blogpost by another of Francis's most ardent defenders, Fr Thomas Rosica, CSB, defender and promoter of all things LGBTQXYZ and heretical.

Here's the original, from Fr Rosica's blog,
