Think I’m going to be taking a break from FE and other Catholic websites/social media. I am going through a lot of suffering with mental illness-trying to wait to get in touch with a psychiatrist to see if I have a worse diagnosis than originally thought.

It’s even harder not getting support from family or understanding. Whatever is going on with my brain it is making everything in my life much harder and almost unbearable.

My confessor is also concerned with my very negative outlook on Catholicism and clergy due to all the media about the recent scandals/gaydom in the Church. So I think I’m just going to stay away from Catholic media-everything for a while. I wish I could just go back to having a “dumb” flip phone because I truly see just how damaging “smartphones” are to our culture.

I appreciate any prayers that can be thrown my way and continued prayers for the future. Once in a while I might pop back in but for now, I need to focus on other things.

I want creation to penetrate you with so much admiration that wherever you go, the least plant may bring you clear remembrance of the Creator.  A single plant, a blade of grass, or one speck of dust is sufficient to occupy all your intelligence in beholding the art with which it has been made  - Saint Basil
