Please, on this Christian Forum, refrain from removing Christ from His birthday! "X-mas" was a shortcut rendering for commercial use and has been a degradation of Our Lord's special day ever since and has led, in its own way, to the commercialization of this otherwise, very Holy day.

For me, "X-mas" is a curse word.

A democracy which makes or even effectively prepares for modern, scientific war must necessarily cease to be democratic. No country can be really well prepared for modern war unless it is governed by a tyrant, at the head of a highly trained and perfectly obedient bureaucracy

apologies and i fixed it. I was just using it as a shortcut. I agree with you I hate when they call everything "holiday break" or "holiday tree" etc winter break. In real life I always use Christmas.

I didn't see that (OP must have edited the post, thank you OP) but yea, it's 'Christmas' for 'Christ + Mass' and people use (knowingly or unknowingly) the 'X' in it to do away with Christ.

God Bless You

But what I feel most keenly is that it is hearts which are consecrated to Me that treat Me thus.” - St. Margaret Mary. Ignored by King of France Culminating in French Revolution.
