No Food, Only Beer: Fasting Like a 17th-Century Monk
#14
That's pretty awesome. I don't think I could handle it. I've been doing a single collation (usually after noon) and a full meal (around 6-7 pm) each day (except Sunday) and no meat (except fish) at all. I often feel tired throughout the entire day because of the lack of food. I usually need two to three coffees to help me get by. I can just imagine how difficult it must be to be getting calories only from beer.
Blood of Christ, relief of the burdened, save us.

“It is my design to die in the brew house; let ale be placed in my mouth when I am expiring, that when the choirs of angels come, they may say, “Be God propitious to this drinker.” – St. Columbanus, A.D. 612
