This was in Santiago Cathedral. Makes me wish there was an impeachment process.

Oh yeah, just bet he's singing the blues. He's gonna call a synod meeting about this.

The video has been out for some time but as yet no one has come up with any official explanation of the facts as seen (we all probably know but it would be good if it were fact based)

When growing up, I was brought up in a parish that wasn't the most Modernist, but wasn't the most Traditional (definitely closer to the former than the latter though sadly) and with age (and hopefully more maturity), I gradually became evermore Traditional.

When I was still very young (late 80s-early 90s) there was this one older lady in our parish who every Sunday (even in this Novus Ordo environment) wore a mantilla and knelt before the Sanctuary, where the priest would administer Holy Communion, I think directly into her mouth.

Looking back, I don't think I knew what to make of it, but maybe had a vague sense (and maybe my Mum said something) that she was doing something people used to do and was old-fashioned, which perhaps led me to dismiss her as eccentric (before I actually knew the word though).

Also, given the nature of life in our parish, it's kind of surprising that our priest even allowed this.

It merely shows and article and a video of the bishop holding the sacred species over the head of each parishioner who kneels, until they either stand to receive the sacrament or are ushered away (likely by an unseen attendant to the left of the bishop).  The bishop offered the sacred species over the top of one parishioner's head to the one behind him who was standing in one case.  Then the video ends with a man who communicates by self-intinction at the hand of three other ministers presumably somewhere to the side of the bishop.

Based on what my friends in Chile say, at this time, there are no bishops in Chile any more as all have resigned.

That was a spammer. Notice the link at the bottom? It wasn't his only post, but he's gone bye-bye.
