Please Pray For Bishop Conley of Lincoln
#1
He is taking a medical leave of absence. Francis has appointed our Metropolitan, the Archbishop of Omaha, as Apostolic Administrator sede plena. I'm scared to death that Francis will use this as an excuse to force the Bishop to resign and appoint one of his henchmen to the See in hopes of destroying what has been painstakingly built up ever since the Council. Especially since, in a case like this, the Bishop emeritus, if there is one (there is, but he's actually Catholic), is usually appointed as Administrator.

Troubling. My conspiratorial mind thinks: first a New York magazine published a story on a traditional Catholic community in Kansas, then the next day a Archbishop of a traditional Catholic community in Nebraska takes medical leave?

Keep the home fires burning Jovan
