Incredible number of attacks on Churches in Europe

Wow. It's astounding to me how under reported this is and how even amongst so called conservative Christians there is ZERO backlash against this.  In olden times those responsible would be killed by mobs or thrown in prison but today there's a deafening silence.

After reading something like this I can't help but seriously ask,  is Christianity in Europe on its last legs?  I ask that in all seriousness.  When these attacks are downplayed or ignored it just proves to the vandals that they can get away with it and that Europe's Christians are pathetic, weak and worthy of further trampling.

Seriously guys, if this continues unabated with no strong words of condemnation or violent backlash against the enemies of Christ then Europe is going to completely lose its monuments and with it the memory of its history before the middle of this century.

It'll be the fault of all European Christians who sat by like weaklings and let this happen,  but it'll especially be the fault of sick "shepherds" who stood by and said nothing, preaching only "forgiveness" and "peace" while their ancestors proud monuments were quite literally decapitated and pissed on.

It is impossible in human language to exaggerate the importance of being in a chapel or church before the Blessed Sacrament as often and for as long as our duties and state of life allow. That sentence is the talisman of the highest sanctity. "Father John Hardon

Christians don't own the media, and many -- most -- likely have no clue how bad things are. You can't act against something you don't know is going on. That's why it's up to US to use websites, email, social media, etc. to publicize what's happening -- and not just in a "preaching to the choir" way, but getting word OUT more generally. It's like the slaughter of farmers in South Africa: people are clueless. They really just do not know. And the ones who do know: what can they do but pray and talk and maybe push their governments to allow the farmers to migrate (actual refugees for once)? People vote for things/people like Trump, Brexit, California's Proposition 187 (to curtail illegal immigrants using up health services) or Proposition 8 (to stop gay "marriage"), but Congress, parliament, courts, or whichever entity, blocks the people's will. Every damned time.

At some point, it'll likely have to come to violence. Either that, or we're going to be stuck with a Chinese-style social credit system -- living in pods and eating the bugs and all that. If it comes to violence, it's gonna suck 'cause the enemy has all the "stuff" -- the media, academia, the institutions, Hollywood, control of propaganda, maybe the Armies themselves (or they'll just use foreign armies, like blue helmets, the Chinese, etc.) And Western men have been demasculinized, disempowered, effeminized by porn and materially easy living, and radically uninspired by the foul nature of modern Western women. Gonna be tricky.

I have faith that the Lord will guide us in these trying times. If not to heal our society, which hates Him, than at least to personal salvation.

We are too scattered and divided.  E Michael Jones wants to pounce on Michael Voris for not doing enough penance.  Michael Voris wants to distance himself from Michael Matt because he is cozy with SSPX.  SSPX wants to distance themselves from Sedes because, well they are sedes.  All have their own agenda and all are scattered working on their own project.

It will need to take a Pope or an Emperor to unify Christendom against this onslaught, the laity can not save the Church or the West alone. Only they can provide the soldiers necessary to save it; it must have a leader with the backing of God.

They laity as they progress further and further down the safety of the bosom of Tradition will produce such men who will unify and save the West, but I think it is clear given the rapid state of decay that perhaps (and in deed this is just speculation) God will not allow us to reform the current modernist state, but will bring about its ruin for our progeny to once again rebuild as man had to after the fall of Rome.

The future is Eurasia. Eastern Europe and Asia are where the center of power and influence is shifting. We can choose either Russia or China as the new model ruling society and for all its flaws I think Russia is better than godless China.

I disagree about a pope of course but perhaps an emperor can turn things around for what's left of Christian culture, but I believe it'll have to be from Eurasia since there's little indication there's any unity or fight left in the West aside from in the hearts and minds of a few people and groups who have ZERO support from their churches official leaders or their societies governing authorities.

Honestly I don't think the unwashed herd would care even if they did know. They need to be prodded into action.   The masses have always been dumb sheep that go along to get along.  It sounds elitist and perhaps it is but my reading of history has not proven otherwise.  People will do what they are told or what benefits them and their family's.  If there's a strong Christian leader that leads by example and makes the culture follow Christian rules than the masses will go along to get along.

Do you think it's possible we are just simply living in the end times, and the Antichrist will appear in our lifetimes?

I personally don't think so, although I do believe we are seeing the framework being laid for his arrival. While Christians are being persecuted right now, it isn't even close to the level of the early Church.

In my opinion, we most likely will see a great chastisement beyond anything in history (per Our Lady of Akita). Followed by a Catholic revival once the faithful realize just where they erred. Once we have a reign of peace under the Church and a new Catholic Monarchy, then we will see Antichrist arise. Because right now too many of the faithful are aware of how bad and anti-Christian things are to be deceived by Antichrist, who the Church teaches will be an individual.

It's hard to say. I think we are getting closer though.  I think that the "beast system" is being put into place and we are getting closer to global government and an all pervasive surveillance system that will render resistance utterly futile for those not tech savvy enough to undermine it and fly under the radar.  Just check out China's "Social Credit" system.  It's coming everywhere, and most people WILL go along to get along, including bishops and priests of ALL the churches.  The most sinister thing about social credit and cameras everywhere is that it socially engineers people to conform.  That's the beast system, and it'll have no room for God at all.

I tend to think this beast system will ultimately take over the bulk of the globe and the majority of people will fall under its spell.  When Christ does return His question about finding faith on earth will become quite real and visceral.

I think the West is dead, and Western Christianity along with it, especially in its institutions.  I do not think the papacy can save anything, especially since it was under the aegis of the papacy that Western Christianity was undermined and destroyed.

The best of its traditions are there for the taking but they are for scattered eccentrics and musty old libraries and hold no interest to the masses or even the leaders of the various western confessions, nor are they part of the normative worship of either.  Those of us on the eccentric side who love the Traditions  MUST stand alone if need be, and mustn't settle.

I think ultimately the Old Believers were right on certain things,  and the way they fought against the "beast system" of Nikon's forced reforms and especially the Petrine State are models we can use today.  If anything they show that the Faith is not necessarily tied to any one bishop or even national church but lives anywhere Christians gather and try to live godly lives.  Something like the Vyg community Robert O. Crummey wrote about in "The Old Believers and the World of AntiChrist" comes to mind.

I think things are going to get far worse in the west then we can even imagine in the coming decades, and that we should look to Eurasia as perhaps our one hope outside of Christ for any place to stand against whatever may come.

We should support any leader or bishop, East or West that wants to turn back the tide.

Will the Antichrist come in this 21st century after the nativity of Christ?  I think it's a strong possibility.

I doubt it. How many Christians have claimed they were living in the end times? More than McDonald's has slung burgers.

In countries like France, Germany, Belgium, and the UK, those attacking churches are often Islamists. In Spain, as well as in places in Latin America, like Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, and Mexico, the vandals are typically anarchists, radical feminists, and militant homosexuals, who see the Catholic Church as a Patriarchy they must destroy in order to create a totally inclusive society.
