No it is not especially since religious education is not that good anymore. The only problem is that sin depends on the knowledge of the person, and on the freedom of their will from any coercions (psychological included).  So it is very hard to judge what is a sin subjectively or in a certain case.

It is a good idea to ask about mortal sins, since these are the ones that can result is an eternal disaster. Venial sins are endless and to ask about each of them will take a lifetime.
