Is this an acceptable traditional, catholic prayer?
im aware some prayers like the precious blood rosary,or the divine mercy prayer, have aroused...controversy within the Church,i want to make sure this prayer is 100% fine and accepted.

is the private revelation of each recitation saving one soul to be taken at literal, face value?

I don't buy the 'one recitation, one soul' bit, but I say the prayer three times every night in my night prayers for the souls of my fallen away family and certain non-Catholic friends.

That's a beautiful prayer. What could be wrong with saying that. As for the question of saving souls; who knows? As they say, 'it can't hurt.'
