The Vatican restricts Traditional Latin Mass and suppresses private Masses at St. Pet

Do we want more private Masses in accordance with the rite of St. Gregory the Great or do we want more Masses of this rite with the active participation of the laity?

It seems to me that the instruction will have the effect of greatly reducing the number of Masses said each day. To me that seems to be the main problem.

As a Byzantine Catholic, we've only ever permitted one liturgy per day. Though I can understand why this is problematic for my Latin brethren.
