Easter bonnets

Do the adults in your parish wear Easter Bonnets? Last year I wore my mantilla.
My youngest had an Easter Bonnet.
All other women had Mantillas.

I really want to wear an Easter Bonnet. I've seen some very nice ones at Macy's.  Since Easter is early this year I want to wear my spring coat and Bonnet and white gloves. Is this vanity? It's a light touquise that matches my dress.

I ordered some new color Mantillas. They have not arrived yet ..

We had a thing going a while back where some of the ladies wore hats (instead of mantillas) to the High Mass every second Sunday. It was fun to switch things up, but then it sort of fizzled out. Darned Kung Flu ruins everything, everything!

It's always been a goal of mine to have a Kentucky Derby party where all the ladies are required to wear outlandish hats. We'll drink mint juleps. Never had one, but they sound so fancy! 

Maybe I'll do it this year. I'll have to see what hubs thinks. Maybe one of these hats. Lol, they say you could wear it to church, too. What do you think, heheheheh! I'm liking the Burgundy, but Burgundy's not really a springtime color, is it? Perhaps purple would be best...When's the Kentucky Derby?

I mean what were they thinking?!?! Brits are so over the top, heheh, bad joke I know. That said, crazy hats are fun, just not at church. Usually the English are so tasteful....

I wore a torqious one with a veil.  My daughters wore more of a garden hat with matching ribbon to thier dress. My priest smiled.
The good news is alot of women are going for easter Bonnets in my parish.

Now I can't wait to wear my color Mantillas!
